Traveling Technology

Join us from Gettysburg Area School District as we incorporate real world learning while we travel.

October 27 -30, Gettysburg SD will be attending the Technology and Learning Conference in Seattle, WA. This is a National School Boards Association sponsored conference about instructional technology in our schools. We have a team representing our district with -- Dr. Hall, Superintendent; Kelli Murphy, Supervisor of Instructional Technology; Scott Henry, Middle School Social Studies Teacher; Chris Swinn, 1st Grade Teacher; Barbara Kingsley, High School English Teacher; and Laurie Ginter, 3rd Grade Teacher.

Join us in our adventure. We would love to share this event and our explorations with all learners.

Monday, October 27 (KBM)

The plane ride began at 4:00 am. We were taking off from Baltimore airport and so we needed to be there early. What fun!

MATH PROBLEM: The flight took off at 9:40am (eastern time) from Baltimore, Maryland. We arrived in Seattle, Washington at 6:15pm (Pacific time). How long was our actual trip, in hours/minutes?

The scenery out the plane window was fanstatic! Take a look at our pictures.
